"Experimenting a little with geometric asymmetry... using two free-form step-cut Dunton Quarry tourmalines. I really love how this piece came out, it exceeded my expectations which were already optimistic. The green tourmaline has the quintessential luscious deep mint of the best Newry material and is perfectly delicious despite not being completely clean. It was such a wonderfully odd shape. I've been staring at it for years now, waiting for inspiration. Recently I happened to look through the pink tourmaline tray which I never normally do and there, completely forgotten, was a similarly cut free-form step-cut pink tourmaline that I had finished years ago. They both had one similar angle which allowed the X pattern of the pendant to work as a design despite the fact that they did not match completely."
